Our school values are the important qualities that we try to live by. We show our values in the way we behave, and how we conduct our relationships with other members of our school community.

Our values are:

  • Respect/Whakaute - All members of the school community are expected to show respect to themselves and to others and their property. They will respect human rights, individual differences and the environment.
  • Integrity/Pono ki a ia ano - All members of the school community are expected to be truthful, dependable and true to their word. They will respect confidentiality where appropriate and display loyalty to the school and its wider community.
  • Personal Excellence/Te hirango whaiaro - All members of the school community are expected to strive for excellence through self-motivation, self-management and perseverance. They will reflect on their work, show curiosity and be disciplined in their approach. They will have the courage to consistently aim high.
  • Positive Relationships/Whakawhanaungatanga - All members of the school community are expected to relate positively to other people by showing kindness, empathy and compassion. They willingly contribute to, and participate in, community activities.
  • Engagement/Mamahi - All members of the school community are expected to be organised and punctual. They will recognise that we are all lifelong learners, show interest and initiative in their work and complete tasks to the best of their ability.
