We strive to best meet the needs of every learner in a caring, supportive and friendly learning environment. We value good relationships with our whānau, as we recognise the importance of their knowledge and support of their children in developing positive educational outcomes.

We are developing a local curriculum to reflect the special area of the Teviot Valley we live and learn in. This is the way we bring the NZ Curriculum to life at our school.

We aim to:

  • be responsive to the needs, identity, language, culture, interests, strengths and aspirations of our learners and their families,
  • have a clear focus on supporting the progress of all learners,
  • integrate Te Tiriti o Waitangi into our learning,
  • help our learners engage with and develop knowledge, values, and competencies, so they can go on to be confident and connected lifelong learners.
