In 1939, the pupils of the Secondary Department of the District High School of Roxburgh undertook an extensive historical survey of Roxburgh and surrounding districts. This survey was published by the students - it provides a valuable insight into the history of Roxburgh up until 1939.
This survey has been converted into digital form to protect the 2 known remaining copies and to provide easy access to the surveys content - the hyperlinked section headings below represent the chapters of the "Roxburgh Historical Survey - 1939"
It is hoped that during 2003, current students of the school will be able to update this survey by looking back at our history over the past 65 years, and attempt to create a "snapshot" of Roxburgh at the start of the new millennium - "The Roxburgh Project"
